British Club with BUCKSHOT (Singapore British Club Magazine)
On 17 January the British Club organised a sporting day event with the Singapore Shooting Association at the Hational Shooting Centre. 15 members turned up for what turned out to be an enjoyable and interesting event. Anyone with or without firearms experiences, was invited to take part.
British Club Shooting Section First Official Outing (Singapore British Club Magazine)
As we met up for the first official shooting section outing on Sunday, 18 April we greeted the returnees and introduced ourselves to the new members. When the group of 14 had assembled instructor Guy Hoh ran through a brief safety guide and gave basic instructions on how to shoot. We were then all given ear protection and 350 shells were divided our evenly amongst the group/.

On 22 May, the British Club shooting section successfully organised yet another exciting and fun-filled day down at the Singapore Shooting Association range. Total headcount was thirteen, including two shooting section committee members who are trained range safety officers. Coach Guh Hoh accompanied us. Everyone present had experience with shotguns, so after a short safety briefing we head out.

Since our first event on 23 April, we have held even events (one pistol, three shotgun, two safety officer courses and one paintball day). The number of members in the shooting section is 29, an all of our events have been well supported. On Sunday 19 September, the British Club Shooting section had yet another successful shooting event. This time we tried our skill at .38 revolver. This event was, of course, open to beginners and what are now known as the "hardcore shooters". Around 10 people showed up at the range, including newcomer and guess Douglas Farrand who, due to a mysterious force that can only be described as "beginner's luck"... ...
Semi-Auto Pistol Event (Singapore British Club Magazine)
On Sunday, 17 October, another British Club shooting event took place at the National Shooting Centre. The weapons used were two semi-automatic 9mm pistols, one Sig Sauer 9mm and onw Cz 9mm. Our insructor, Guy Hoh also brought a custom-built Springfield .45 pistol with him to show us, but this was not one of the guns used in the competition.
